Ängsjö Outdoor Recreation Area is a popular attraction offering promenades, grill facilities, a cafeteria, jogging tracks, a sauna and cabins for overnight stays.

Kallhällsbadet is a beach situated on Lake Mälaren close to the new Bolinder Strand housing area.

Görväln Manor, built in the 1660s, houses a restaurant as well as party and conference facilities. With all of the original buildings preserved, it is a unique piece of history.  The English style park contains sculptures and about a hundred different kinds of trees and shrubs along with an herb garden.

Säbysjön is a renowned birding-lake with bike and hiking paths and grill facilities around the lake. An observation tower is available for bird watching. Säby Manor is situated by the lake and serves as Järfälla’s primary gateway to Järva recreation area.

Bruket is the name of an old mill area that features a small beach, cafe and boat rental as well as downhill skiing in the winter.

Jakobsberg Centre houses approximately one hundred shops, a library, an art gallery, an exhibition hall and a cinema.

Görvälnbadet is the municipality’s largest outdoor swimming area.

Barkarby Commercial Centre is one of Greater Stockholm’s largest shopping centres.

Koffsan is a small island whose inn once was visited by botanist Carl von Linné in 1731.  After only 30 minutes had Linné inventoried all of the plants on the island and created Flora Kofsöensis. The inn’s foundation was excavated in 1993 and the findings are on display at Jakobsberg’s library.

Gåseborg was the site of a bronze foundry in the 6th century and is one of Lake Mälaren’s most well preserved ancient castle strongholds. Gåseborg is situated on a hill offering a spectacular view of Lake Mälaren.

Viksjö Golf Club, with its 27 holes, also operates a popular restaurant.

Veddesta is Järfälla’s largest industrial park. It is the home of both large international companies and small family businesses.

Barkarby Courthouse Square was one of Järfälla’s most important centres for several hundred years. The inn, Lasse-Maja, opened for business in 1671 and is still used as an inn and banquet room. Situated not far from the Courthouse Square is Järfälla church, which was built in the 12th century.
