A vision about what Järfälla will look like in 2015 emerged during 2004 through meetings between politicians from all parties, citizens, companies and associations. The goal behind the vision is to create a more attractive municipality for existing and future citizens and companies and to provide Järfälla with a more distinct identity. With the message that Järfälla is showing the way, the vision describes the desired state that the municipality should be in by the year 2015. 

That vision rests on four cornerstones: Open Järfälla, Lakeside Järfälla, Innovative Järfälla, and Cooperative Järfälla.
