Elderly Care

If you are 65 or older and need help to manage your everyday life, Järfälla Municipality offers a range of care and support services—from home help to care homes for people with more serious needs.

Järfälla provides elderly care services to support your independence and well-being at home or in a residential care home, depending on your needs. Home help (hemtjänst) is available to assist you with daily tasks. If you have more extensive care needs, we offer nursing and residential care homes.

Needs assessment

You can apply for elderly care services through the municipality. A needs assessment will be conducted by the social services unit to determine which form of care or support best suits your situation. The assessment considers your health, living conditions and personal preferences.

Fees for elderly care depend on the type of service you receive and are set according to the municipality’s official fee regulations. Decisions are made within the framework of the Social Services Act (SoL).
