Social Services
Järfälla provides social services to support residents who need help due to illness, disability, financial difficulties or difficult life situations. All support is assessed individually according to the Swedish Social Services Act (Socialtjänstlagen).
The type of support you may receive depends on your individual situation and needs. After an advisor has assessed your circumstances, the municipality can offer practical, social or financial assistance.
Support may include
- financial assistance or budgeting support
- counselling and support for families, children and young people
- services and personal assistance for people with disabilities
- housing support or daily living assistance
- protection and support for people affected by violence or abuse
You can apply for social support by contacting the municipality. A social worker will assess your situation and determine which services you may be entitled to. Some services may include a fee depending on your income and the type of support.
